What makes a CTE assignment truly great? In this hands-on session, CTE teachers will explore the key traits of high-quality assignments and walk away with practical tools to strengthen their own practice. Participants will examine their current assignments through the lens of established success criteria, identifying opportunities to "upgrade" tasks in ways that increase student effort and support mastery.
The session features a rubric and checklist for designing effective CTE assignments that participants can take back to their classrooms immediately, whether for personal reflection or as a resource for collaborative peer support.
This session is ideal for CTE teachers looking to better align their assignments with best practices in CTE instruction, as well as leaders and mentors supporting new CTE teachers in understanding what high-quality student work looks like.
