About me
Debra Cullen is an instructional coach with the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) who works with teachers and school leaders to strengthen instruction, leadership, and student engagement through project-based learning, literacy integration, and professional learning for educators in alternative certification pathways.
Debra was born and raised in West Virginia. She previously served as an embedded Career and Technical Education (CTE) teacher as well as a high school English teacher in West Virginia, where she developed a passion for supporting teachers and connecting rigorous instruction to real-world learning. She continues to live in Clarksburg, West Virginia, and remains committed to improving educational opportunities for students across the state.
Through her work with SREB, Debra supports new CTE and academic teachers by coaching them in instructional strategies, project-based learning, leadership development, and literacy practices that help students succeed in both school and future careers. She is an active member of the West Virginia Association for Career and Technical Education (WVACTE) and is dedicated to strengthening CTE programs and supporting educators who prepare West Virginia students for college, careers, and community leadership.
