About me
Jonathan Fannin, BA, NRP, FP-C, MCCP is the Program Director for Emergency Medical Services at BridgeValley Community & Technical College in South Charleston, West Virginia. With more than 20 years of experience in Emergency Medical Services, Jonathan has served in a variety of roles including ground EMS, critical care transport, and air medical services.
At BridgeValley, he leads the development of innovative EMS education programs focused on workforce development and career pathways. His work includes building partnerships between community colleges, high schools, and EMS agencies to create opportunities for students to begin training as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) while still in high school and continue through advanced paramedic education.
I am passionate about integrating simulation, scenario-based learning, and emerging technologies such as virtual and augmented reality into EMS education to improve student engagement and clinical judgment. He frequently collaborates with EMS agencies, healthcare systems, and education leaders to strengthen the EMS workforce pipeline across West Virginia.
