About me
Kim Zirk earned a Master’s in Secondary Education and a Bachelor’s in English from West Virginia University. With over a decade of experience spanning the K-16 continuum, she has worked extensively with youth, designing and implementing research-driven, differentiated curriculum to meet diverse learning needs. Leveraging her background in education, Kim transitioned into the corporate sector where she developed strategic initiatives in behavioral sciences and talent acquisition to advance growth across diverse industries. At The EdVenture Group, she develops initiatives that drive innovation, workforce and career development, and entrepreneurship education. Her work involves professional development for educators as well as direct engagement with students, community, and industry partners. She also serves as the Assistant Director for the West Virginia CAREERS (Career Awareness, Readiness, Exploration and Experiences for Rural Students) initiative, and manages SparkWV, an idea and business generation competition dedicated to fostering entrepreneurial education and opportunities to students across West Virginia.
